Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about generating JSON-LD schema markup.

What is schema markup and JSON-LD?
Schema markup is structured data that describes your page to search engines using the schema.org vocabulary. JSON-LD is Google's recommended format for it — a small block of code placed in the page head that can unlock rich results such as star ratings, FAQs and breadcrumbs.
Where do I put the generated code?
Copy the output and paste it inside the <head> of the page it describes. The tool already wraps it in a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag, so it is ready to paste as-is. You can validate it with Google's Rich Results Test.
Why are some fields required and others recommended?
Required fields (marked ✱) are the minimum Google expects for a given type; recommended fields enrich the result and improve eligibility for rich snippets. Empty fields are automatically left out of the final JSON, so you only ship what you fill in.
Does this tool send my data anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser with plain JavaScript — there is no backend, no API and no network request. Whatever you type never leaves your device.
